FFor Hosted Lync in use with your own domain, the following DNS records are required on your domain. The setting described below, you can cause your domain with the hosting provider. If you move your domain to us, we care about the setting of the DNS records!
For most domain and hosting providers, you can manage DNS record online.
The following DNS entries are for the registration with the Lync client and communication with external partners of necessity.
Please note that these entries will be published with your domain provider and can be accessed via the Internet.
The DNS records should look something like this:

The following entry have to set after our support instruction specifically by activating the add-on: Open Federation Basic or Open Federation Plus:

Furthermore, it is necessary to adapt the "_sipfederationtls._tcp.yourdomain.com." DNS entry as follows:

Note: Please replace "yourdomain.com" by your domain.
It may take up to 24 hours until the DNS entries are published by your domain provider!

If you do not know how the entry is set, contact your domain provider, he will certainly help you.

After about 24 hours, you can check your DNS configuration using the free Windows Toll (RUCT).
- For this just download in the download area https://portal.nettask.de/downloads/24/Hosted-Lync the RUCT tool.
- Unzip the tool and start the RUCT.exe.
- Now enter in the field "Enter a SIP domain or SIP Address" the domain you are using without "http" a.
- Activate the hoes "Devices, and Mobile Federation"
- Now click on "Go"
- The following is a correct DNS configuration using the domain "inet.in".
