The proforma invoice is issued to service recipients as a copy of the original invoice and this is considered a request for payment. When the proforma invoice is received, it does not have to be balanced with the recipient of the service.

Customers from non-EU countries need the proforma invoice for documentation because the proforma invoice provides precise information about the quantity and nature of the goods and the sales price. It also provides information on the amount of a letter of credit to be opened.

If a proforma invoice is balanced with a payment (this happens automatically, for example, with PayPal, credit card and SEPA company direct debit), the original invoice is then automatically issued. If you pay by bank transfer, you will automatically receive the original invoice when the incoming payment is booked.
